August 2015 Blog (2)

The Summer Group Exhibition 2015 at La Galleria and the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery is now over. It’s been a great show featuring some very talented artists and quite educational too. I’ve been inspired by many of the other exhibitors who all contributed to a well-balanced show. A big thank you to Elizabeth, the owner of the galleries, and  her staff for the organisation and curating of the show. Also thanks to my family for the help and support given to me before, during and after the exhibition.

My portrait of “Michelle”, originally chosen as a Spice Girl
and replaced by Emma Bunton.

A few of my works on display in the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery – “Camille O’ Sullivan, “Model (Take a Chance on Me)”, with “David Gilmore” and “Mick Jagger”.

It’s now time to wind down after all the excitement, relax a little and think about the kind of work I want to do next. There are a few ideas floating around at the moment which will doubtless evolve during the next few weeks. I’ve focussed on fairly traditional landscapes over the last few months, which I’ve been reasonably happy with, but I am feeling that my technical ability is rather lacking in some areas and this deficiency is something I should concentrate on!
