Another exhibition will soon be opening at La Galleria Pall Mall (www.lagalleria.org) to sell Christmas art gifts from Saturday 19th to Tuesday 22nd of December opening daily from 9 am to 9 pm. I’m hoping to raise money for charity from the proceeds of any paintings I sell. The main theme of the four pictures I am exhibiting is climate change and there are three abstracts representing the concept of global warming entitled Antarctic Symphony 2, 3 and 4. I completed a series of 5 of these acrylic works after seeing a documentary television film about the composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davies and his trip to Antarctica, following which he completed his Antarctic Symphony. The paintings were inspired by both the photography in the film and the music he produced. Here are two of these works:-
Since these images were produced I have made a few changes to the first and second of the above paintings. The other picture on show will be a landscape of East Wickham Open Space in winter near where I live. It is also close to the farm where Kate Bush grew up and wrote many of her early songs.
I will be on hand at the gallery during much of the exhibition with other works which won’t be in the show but available for sale through the gallery. A few prints will also be at the La Galleria as very low priced gifts. I hope readers of this blog who live in or near London will take the opportunity to drop in and visit the exhibition.
Finally I would like to wish everyone a happy Christmas and a healthy, peaceful new year.
